How to view and edit Markdown files

  1. Open or drop your file

Select a .md or .markdown file from your device, drag and drop it directly onto the editor, or begin typing your content from scratch in the blank workspace.

  2. Switch and customize views

Use the Editor tab for focused writing, Preview tab for clean reading, or Split view to write while observing real-time rendered output and heading outline updates.

  3. Format content and insert diagrams

Apply headings, bold, italics, tables, and code blocks using the toolbar or standard Markdown shortcuts. Insert live Mermaid flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and mind maps via the built-in template sheet.

  4. Save locally to your device

When you finish editing, select Save .md to download the updated file directly to your computer or phone. Your data stays entirely in your browser without leaving your machine.

Private local document processing

All Markdown parsing, code syntax coloring, outline generation, and Mermaid diagram rendering happen locally on your computer or mobile device. Your files, confidential notes, and project READMEs are never uploaded to, processed on, or stored by any remote server.

Because the workspace operates entirely within your browser session, you can comfortably inspect and edit sensitive internal documentation, credentials templates, or personal journals with complete peace of mind.
